We begin this episode with a true dancers’ warm-up aimed at increasing flexibility in the legs and back. The teaching section is excellent for those interested in tribal belly dance as we combine the sharp ‘Hip Piston’ with ‘Snake Arms’ — a classic combo in tribal style. The level changes and the ‘1, 2, 3 Hop’ with ‘Hip Pop’ make this episode one of the biggest calorie burners in the Shimmy program, so it is fitting that the finale features energetic solos from the tight and toned Dominique and Karen. Remember to use your glutes and not just your quads when changing levels and keep your arms up high for a real workout. After such a workout, why not indulge in a long, hot, bubble bath to soothe your muscles and celebrate your journey to becoming a belly dance diva!
